Snøhetta, architects from Oslo

What it is

@snohetta is the official account of Snøhetta, the architecture practice founded in Oslo. Its bio lists what the studio does: architecture, landscape, interior architecture, art, product, brand and experience design. The feed shows finished projects around the world, from Norway to Hong Kong and the US, each with a proper caption about the thinking behind it.

Captions are in English. The photos work on their own, but here the text is worth reading.

Why we picked it

A lot of architecture accounts post pretty renders with no context. Snøhetta tends to answer the "why" in every post. In late September 2026 the studio walked through Pavilia Farm in Hong Kong, a network of community spaces with a hidden urban farm, described as a green lung in a dense city. It includes a Tea House with an indoor pool on one side and a waterfall on the other, and a Sky House with play areas, classrooms and a rope-climbing tower under a big skylight. Just before that came the Vesterheim Commons, a new entry building for a museum and folk art school campus in Decorah, Iowa.

Posts arrive almost every other day, so the feed reads like a calm architecture magazine.

Where to start

  • Swipe through the Pavilia Farm series: four houses told as one story.
  • Tap the story highlights, which collect exhibitions and major projects.
  • Pick one project and read all its captions in a row, like a short article.
  • Compare the Nordic projects with the Asian ones and notice how materials and light change.

Who it's for

Architecture and interior design students. People who travel for buildings. Anyone curious about how cities can be kinder to the people who live in them.
