Privacy policy

Updated November 1, 2026.

foundaday.com is a daily selection of finds from across the internet. This page explains what data the site collects and how to opt out. Questions: hello@foundaday.com.

What we store ourselves

  • Readers have no accounts. You can read the site without signing up.
  • Likes. To stop one person liking a find twice, your browser stores a random identifier (the fad_vid cookie). Our database keeps only its hash, which cannot identify you.
  • Submitted finds. If you send a find through the form, we store the link, your comment, and your name and contact if you give them. From your IP address we keep only a hash, to fight spam. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Clicks on partner links are counted without personal data: only which block was clicked and on which page.

Analytics

To understand which finds people read, we use the services below. They run only on foundaday.com (not on the site's technical addresses).

  • Google Analytics 4. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland it runs in Consent Mode without cookies: Google receives cookieless signals about the visit. Elsewhere it sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies. No advertising data is shared with Google anywhere. Opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out add-on.
  • Yandex Metrica with Webvisor. Sets cookies (_ym_uid, _ym_d and other _ym*) and records anonymized sessions. It is not loaded at all in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, or when the visitor's country can't be determined. To find the country, your browser makes one request to our /api/geo address: the country comes from your IP via our host, Cloudflare, and is not stored. Opt out with the Metrica blocker.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — no cookies and no cross-site tracking.

Ads and affiliate links

  • Google AdSense — not enabled yet. There are no Google ads on the site right now. When we turn them on, Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, and we will update this page first. You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings and opt out of other companies' personalized ads at aboutads.info.
  • Travelpayouts script. Pages load a script from the Travelpayouts affiliate network (from emrldco.com): it tags links to travel services and sets the am_user_session cookie to attribute the visit. It runs in all countries.
  • Affiliate programs. Some links go to partners through our /go/… address: Travelpayouts, Admitad, Indoleads and Amazon Associates. If you buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. After you follow a link, the partner's store or service may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
  • Amazon Associates. As an Amazon Associate, foundaday earns from qualifying purchases.
  • Paid placements of finds are always marked "Partner".

Your choices

You can delete cookies in your browser settings and opt out of analytics as described above. If you sent us a find and want your name or contact removed, email hello@foundaday.com and we will delete it.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
