Yellowtrace: shops worth walking into
Yellowtrace's board of retail interiors: 370+ pins of shops, showrooms and cafes, from a gallery-like rug store in Jaipur to a Seoul flagship.

What it is
A Pinterest board from Yellowtrace, an online publication covering interiors, architecture, art and design. This one is all retail: shops, showrooms, cafes. We counted 371 pins when we checked, and it's active, with new pins added in early September 2026.
Why we picked it
Retail interiors are where designers get to be most inventive, because a shop has a few seconds to stop someone walking past. The board shows that well. In our scroll we found a gallery-like rug store in Jaipur whose fractal geometry echoes the rhythm of weaving, Oscar Bravo by March Studio with its jet-age take on tailoring, a Bassike store in Byron Bay by Akin Atelier built as a kit of parts, the underground Mecca Coffee on Foley Street, and Margesherwood's Seoul flagship, half shop and half sculpture garden.
Each pin links back to a Yellowtrace article with more photos and the story behind the project. So you can skim images first and read up only on what grabs you.
Where to start
- Open the Jaipur rug store, a neat example of the product itself shaping the architecture.
- Compare a few of the cafes and see how differently the same brief can be solved.
- Pay attention to lighting, which does most of the work in many of these spaces.
- If you like the eye behind it, Yellowtrace has sister boards on hotels, kitchens, bathrooms and interior details.
Who it's for
Interior designers and architects looking for commercial references. Small shop and cafe owners planning a refit. Anyone who wanders into beautiful stores just to look around.
