Artsy's painting board
Artsy's Painting board: hundreds of works by contemporary painters, each tagged with artist, title and year. A quick way to find new names.

What it is
The Painting board from Artsy, the online art platform. It had 627 pins when we checked, with new ones added in September 2026. Each work carries the artist's name, the title and the year, sometimes the gallery.
Why we picked it
Most art feeds circle the same famous names. This one leans toward contemporary painters you probably haven't met yet, and that's the point. In our scroll we saw 2025 and 2026 works by Jenya Datsko, Joaquín Reyes, Tuan Vu, Olivia Botha, Nicole Williford, Carlo Krone and Nicolina Morra. Alongside them are better-known names: a large, colorful installation by Katharina Grosse, My Country by the Australian artist Kudditji Kngwarreye, and a piece by Yago Hortal.
The format is handy. You see a painting and immediately know who made it and when. If it grabs you, you have what you need to look up the artist.
The board is active, with new works added regularly, so you can follow it like a small daily exhibition right in your feed.
Where to start
- Scroll without a goal and save whatever stops you, then look at what your picks have in common.
- Open the Katharina Grosse pin and read the caption, which explains her approach.
- Find Kudditji Kngwarreye's painting, a way into contemporary Aboriginal Australian art.
- Pick one new artist and go look for more of their work.
Who it's for
Painting lovers who want to go beyond museum classics. Artists looking for color and composition references. Anyone thinking about starting to collect and wanting to train their eye first.
