Unsound Festival
The channel of Unsound, Poland's festival for adventurous music: lineups, a train-turned-venue between Warsaw and Kraków, London dates and releases on its own label.

What it is
Unsound is a festival from Poland that describes itself as an amorphous platform for music, sound, words and related visual arts. The core of it happens in Kraków and Warsaw, with events in other cities too. @unsoundfestival is its Telegram channel: same handle the festival uses on Instagram and Facebook, and the posts link to unsound.pl and the Unsound label's Bandcamp page.
It's all in English.
Why we picked it
It's a good way to keep up with experimental electronics, ambient and everything that falls between genres, without leaning on an algorithm. Each edition of Unsound has a theme. For 2026 it's SOFT POWER, and both the concerts and the discourse program with its panels are built around it.
The strangest and most charming recent idea is the Unsound Train: an eight-hour ride from Warsaw to Kraków that doubles as a venue, with music, performance, DJs and the Polish countryside rolling past. The channel has also announced Unsound London, four days at the end of November at the Barbican, the ICA and other spaces, and before that, choose-what-you-pay shows at Lincoln Center in New York.
Then there are releases on the festival's own label. The latest when we checked was hotel room by claire rousay and Martyna Basta, out on vinyl and digital.
To be fair, a good share of posts are about tickets and schedules. Still, those posts double as a map of who's worth listening to right now.
Where to start
- Open the post with the final wave of 2026 artists and write down the names you don't know.
- Listen to hotel room on the festival's Bandcamp.
- If you're in London in late November, check the Unsound London program.
- Read the Unsound Train post. Even if you won't ride it, the idea alone is worth a look.
Who it's for
Fans of experimental, electronic and ambient music. Anyone who'd rather discover artists through a festival's curators than a streaming app. And travellers heading to Poland or London who want to catch something out of the ordinary.
