TechPicks by Tal Koren
A near-daily roundup of tech and programming links, picked by software engineer Tal Koren, plus a weekly recap on which links landed and why.

What it is
TechPicks is a Telegram channel run by Tal Koren, a senior software engineer. Almost every day he posts an edition: the date and a handful of tech and programming links, each with its headline and source domain. When we checked, the channel had about 1,500 subscribers.
There's also a website, techpicks.app, with search across every past edition, a "Trending" section and a form for suggesting links. At the end of September an email newsletter was added for people who don't use Telegram.
Why we picked it
Most tech aggregators are automated feeds. TechPicks is picked by a person, and you can tell: AI model releases sit next to engineering write-ups, open-source tools and the occasional post from the author himself, like how he keeps a single .zshrc across macOS and Windows.
Our favourite part is the weekly recap. Once a week Tal looks at which links got the most interest and writes a short piece about what connects them. In one recent recap he noticed that the week's three most popular links were all circling the same question from different angles: how much of our work we're handing over, and what we get back.
Where to start
- Read the latest weekly recap — it's the quickest way to get the channel's tone.
- Skim three or four daily editions and open whatever catches your eye.
- Visit techpicks.app for archive search and the Trending section.
- Found something good? Suggest it through the submit form on the site.
Who it's for
Developers and anyone following tech and AI who'd rather read one curated list than refresh a dozen sites.
